Cargo-Bee
Sometimes it's the little things that make life so much easier. The Cargo-Bee is a simple conversion of a wheelbarrow for transporting beehives. The big advantage is a flat loading area for easy loading and unloading. The optimal working height reduces the need to lift the load, thus protecting your back.
Materialliste
For the Cargo-Bee, we use the chassis of a Capito Praktica wheelbarrow. I bought the complete wheelbarrow with solid rubber wheels. This allows it to be used both as a wheelbarrow and as a hive transporter. The conversion is possible in a very short time by loosening four screws.
The chassis has the optimal working height, and a simple attachment allows the formwork panel to be mounted directly. The attachment is assembled from four structural timbers. Four holes with a diameter of 12 mm are then drilled.
The formwork panel is shortened to a length of 100 cm, and then the four holes for the mounting screws are drilled. Two tension strap eyelets are mounted on each side and one tension strap eyelet on each end. The formwork panel can now be mounted with the four flat-head screws and wing nuts.
